Symptom
The duration of the Task Chain is longer than the sum of the child tasks or there is delay between tasks of the Task Chain (child task is not starting as soon as the previous child task finish)
Environment
SAP DataSphere
Reproducing the Issue
Start a Task Chain which contains several child task
Cause
The delay in between steps of task chains, is caused by the synchronizer job that check for finished jobs. The Task Chain runtime functionality of the product currently has regular interval-like check for statuses of child tasks. Due to this the task chain does not "pick up" the next one despite the previous child-task has already been "Completed".
Status changes are not picked up immediately.
