Symptom
The requirement is to know how to use standard WBS Elements in SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Resolution
If you want to use standard WBS Elements in SuccessFactors Employee Central, then Public Sector should be enabled and below configurations are pre-requisites:
- "Industry Features" & "Public Sector Management Cost Objects" feature should be enabled in provisioning;
- In "Manage Permission Roles" Public Sector related permission should be maintained including Employee Cost Assignment. For more information refer to the set up guide;
- In "Configure Public Sector Management Cost Object Assignments" as part of the cost object only "WBS Element" can be enabled;
- The existing cost center from Job Information, Alternative Cost Distribution should be migrated to "Employee Cost Assignment". Refer to the migration process.
Note:
- The WBS Element replication support is only available between SuccessFactors Employee Central to SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll when Public Sector feature is enabled in SuccessFactors Employee Central;
- Similarly Public Sector feature is mandatory in SuccessFactors Employee Central to integrate with S/4HANA Financials for WBS Element.
