3507870 - Agent is down due to SEVERE error: "agent identification does not match the one on the server" - SAP Cloud Integration for data services

Symptom

  • The agent was once connected, but now shows as disconnected with a red status icon.
  • DSOnPremiseAgentLog contains the following error, which is written shortly after the agent service starts:
    • <date> UTC SEVERE: register with cloud received Error Code : 401
      <date> UTC SEVERE: register with cloud received Error : , response content:agent identification does not match the one on the server
      <date> UTC SEVERE: Agent registration failed.
      <date> UTC SEVERE: Exception in initializing agent Agent registration failed.
