Symptom
When rehiring contingent worker on same employment, position entry date remains the same as initial date start date of the first SCWK event.
Environment
SAP Success Factors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Admin Center -> Add Contingent Worker.
- Under Identity Information, enter the required details.
- Select Continue to go to the Personal Information section.
- A popup dialog box appears notifying that an employee record matching the Identity Information already exists in the system, along with an option to accept the match.
- Select Accept Match and continue.
- Details from existing records are retrieved.
- Enter the new Work Order information and save the changes.
- Go to CWK's profile -> Job Information portlet -> Observe position entry date remains the same as initial date start date of the first SCWK event, not the rehire date.
Cause
This is expected system behaviour.
Resolution
This is expected behaviour:
- For rehire on regular employment, the position entry date will recalculate to the rehire date.
- For rehire contingent worker on same employment, entry date matches the date of the first SWCK event.
See Also
When a contingent worker is hired using either the UI or imports, the hire date field in Job Information is automatically filled with the effective start date of the first SCWK event.
