3508274 - Story upgrade fails when using custom IAS host URL

Story upgrade fails when using custom IAS host URL in provisioning > Single Sign-On (SSO) Settings > SAML Issuer

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Try to run the "Stories in People Analytics" via Upgrade Center
2. It fails with the error message below

   3. After reviewing the KBA 2945740 you identify that there is a custom IAS host URL set in "SAML Issuer"

Custom IAS host is not supported for Story upgrade

1. Login to SuccessFactors and go to Upgrade Center
2. In a new incognito window go to provisioning > Single Sign-On (SSO) Settings > SAML Issuer
3. Set the default IAS URL in "SAML Issuer" and click on "Update the asserting party"
4. In SF trigger the "Stories in People Analytics" upgrade
5. Once the upgrade is triggered, go to provisioning again and revert the change you just did: provisioning > Single Sign-On (SSO) Settings > set the custom IAS host URL back in "SAML Issuer" and click on "Update the asserting party"

Please be careful with this change and do it quickly as the login to SF will not work while the change is being done. You don't need to wait until the upgrade is completed to change the "SAML Issuer" back to the custom one, you just need to trigger the upgrade.

This process is not done by the support team, it must be done by the customer or partner.
