3508494 - Accrual Recalculation Not Functioning as Expected

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central – Time Management

1. The user requested a leave for August 1, 2024.
2. Accrual remains the same in the Annual Leave 2024 at 3.0769 hours. 
3. Expected, the system should recalculate the existing amount from 3.0769 hours to 2.46152 hours based on the accrual rule conditions.

• Working As Designed

• A recalculation is triggered when an absence is created in the system with a pending status. However, if the "Consider Only Approved Absences" setting is enabled in the rule function "Get Absence in Hours for Period for Time Types ()", the accrual rule will not process the amount if the absence is not approved.
• Once an absence is approved, the system does not perform a recalculation or update the accrual amount, as the status change is managed by the workflow application. This status change is considered a technical adjustment and does not trigger a recalculation.
• Absence change recalculation will be triggered only during absence creation or editing.
• We recommend either setting the parameter "Consider Only Approved Absences" as blank in the rule function "Get Absence in Hours for Period for Time Types ()" under the Accrual Rule or setting "Consider Only Approved Absences" as No.
