Symptom

  • Users of SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS) are not receiving emails for activation, password reset, etc.

  • In the IAS Troubleshooting Log, the following error can be seen:
    • state="failed", action="sendMail", objectType="user", objectId="<email>", caller="<IAS User>", message="Sending the email to the following server failed : smtpauth.mail.net.sap:587", category="audit.configuration", mailSubject="<mail subject>", currentPoolSize="300", currentActiveThreads="1"
