3508776 - Assign a buddy to new candidate is not working - Onboarding

An/some users are not able to select buddy, nothing happens when they try to select them.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. In Home page, click on "View all" from Assign Buddy portlet
2. Click on any candidate's card
3. Search for a buddy to assign
4. The system doesn't do anything (not able to select the responsible person)

Candidates are already hired, current user trying to complete the task doesn't have target population as "Internal users".

Once candidates are hired they become Internal users, if the current user/manager who is trying to complete this task doesn't have a role with the necessary permissions, and target population as Internal Users as well, this issue is expected. In order to resolve it, please give to the affected user's permission role a target as "All Internal" and try again.

Important to note: How to configure a target population according to each business requirement (i.e. limiting the view to only direct reports) will be an Implementation Partner scope. Support team does not provide solution on each business designed and is allowed to close cases once the root cause is already found. Alternately, speak with your Account Executive or Customer Engagement Executive about Professional Services options, or about engaging an SAP Authorized Partner.
