Symptom
There is an active Replication Flow with the load type "Initial and Delta". However, there is a requirement to change the Delta Load Interval, which leads to two issues:
- The system does not allow you to modify the Delta Load Interval while the Replication Flow is active.
- In order to redeploy the Replication Flow, the target table needs to be replicated with an "Initial" load first.

Environment
SAP Datasphere
Reproducing the Issue
- Start Replication Flow Run
- While the Replication Flow is active, change the Delta Load Interval
- Click on Save and Deploy buttons
- You will receive the following error: "You have changed the settings for a replication flow that contains objects with load type "Initial and Delta". It cannot be deployed now because a run is already active. You need to stop the active run, then deploy the flow and start another run."
Cause
This is an expected system behavior. Currently the system does not allow the users change the Delta Load Interval, while the Replication Flow is active.
Resolution
- Stop the Replication Flow run and change the Delta Load Interval. When the Replication Flow is triggered for the next time, it will start with "Initial Load".
