3509178 - Message Type "Warning" in Custom Logic not being Displayed for Completed Sales Order

Symptom

Warning message in the custom logic of BAdI "SD_SLS_CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE" is not displayed when the sales order is complete. In other words, the warning message will only get displayed if the sales order is incomplete.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

When conditions in the BAdI "SD_SLS_CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE" are not met, to prevent the sales order from being saved when the sales order is complete, raise an "E (Error)" instead of "W (Warning)" in the BAdI.
