3509231 - Old documents are picked up in the new Tax Return Run

You notice some old documents from previous period included in the VAT Return. You expect that only documents from the periods informed in the VAT Return run to be picked up.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Tax Management Work Center > VAT Returns view
2. Search for the Tax Return ID "123" and open it
3. Click View All
4. Go to Tax Return tab
5. Select the Tax Box Code "X" and click Details
6. You notice documents from previous periods included in the VAT Return

"123" refers to the Tax Return ID
"X" refers to the Tax Box Code ID

Since the previous VAT Returns are still In Preparation status, the system is considering the pending amount in new VAT Return.

1. Go to Tax Management Work Center > VAT Return Runs view
2. Search for the Run ID "ABC"
3. Under Details, select "All Logs"
4. Click the Application Log ID "DEF" hyperlink
5. Go to Results tab
6. You see the message "Corrected items found and included in the current return"

"ABC" refers to the Run ID
"DEF" refers to the Application log ID

Expected system behavior.

Since the previous VAT Returns are still in "In Preparation" status, the documents are included in the current run.
