3509256 - Attribute Description Does Not Sync the Ampersand (&) to Manage Data

After adding an ampersand (&) to an attribute description in Manage Talent Intelligence Hub, the ampersand (&) is not replicated to Manage Data.

1. Log into SuccessFactors
2. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Talent Intelligence Hub
3. Select the Attributes tab
4. Select a competency > Select Edit
5. Locate the Description field and add && > Save
   
6. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Data
7. In the first Search field, select Competency
8. In the second Search field, select the competency with the && in the description
9. The && does not show in the Description field
   

Expected behavior

Manage Data is only used for the Job Profile Builder framework, and the Job Profile Builder framework is separate from the Talent Intelligence Hub framework. Each framework has a different set of validations, but the validations in both frameworks are by design and expected.

Talent Intelligence Hub does not have attribute description validations which allows using the ampersand (&). Once attributes are entered into Talent Intelligence Hub, the data syncs to Job Profile Builder and must pass through the Job Profile Builder validations.

Job Profile Builder has attribute description validations to check for invalid tags or characters that can affect the security of SuccessFactors. The ampersand (&) is considered a security risk on the Job Profile Builder framework and is why the ampersand (&) will show in Talent Intelligence Hub attribute descriptions but not in Manage Data attribute descriptions.
