3509369 - Replication Flow to Confluent fails when flag: 'SAP_DI_VSOLUTION_RMS_REPLICATION_CONFLUENT_TARGET_DATASETS' is reset

Symptom

Replication Flows on SAP Datasphere are set up for large source tables (over a billion rows) to target: Confluent.  These replication flow jobs fail randomly with the following error:

Task '' is no longer valid due to feature flag 'SAP_DI_VSOLUTION_RMS_REPLICATION_CONFLUENT_TARGET_DATASETS' being changed to false.  The task must be undeployed and re-deployed.

The failure occurs  randomly at various points of the replication. Resuming the run in the Data Integration Monitor allows the task to continue.

Environment

SAP Datasphere

Cause

This is a known product issue related to flags which are enabled for Replication Flows to Confluent.

Resolution

  • A fix in progress for this problem and will be delivered around October 2024 assuming all testing passes.
  • Workaround until the fix is available: manually resume the affected Replication Flow run.
