Symptom
• After a support package stack update, the Internet Graphics Server (IGS) fails to start on some of the instances.
• Despite restarting the instance, the entire system, and rebooting the application server, the problem persists.
• The stderr* file includes these lines, which matches the symptom described in SAP Note 2516905 and SAP Note 1064413:
[watchdog_main] Configuration::Configuration in Error setting IgsEnv path in profile mode.
though the issues described in those notes do not apply here.
