3509552 - Internal Job History Portlet Not Displaying Imported Data in Employee Profile - Employee Central

Symptom

• The "Internal Job History" portlet under the Employee Profile is blank and displays "No data" when it should be showing values.
• This issue may arise with either newly imported data or with information that was recorded earlier in the system.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

Optional (import new value):

  1. Go to "Import Extended User Information".
  2. Select "Background Information".
  3. Download a fresh template.
  4. Prepare the import file.
  5. Choose the file.
  6. Specify the additional file options.
  7. Click on "Import Extended User Data File".
  8. Confirm that the import completed without any errors.

Validate the issue on the profile:

  1. Go to the Employee File and check "Internal Job History"
  2. Open the affected employee's profile.
  3. Check the Internal Job History portlet under the Talent Profile.
  4. The imported information is not visible, and
  5. The portlet displays "No data".

Cause

The condition(s) specified in the Internal Job History rule are not being met.

Resolution

  1. Go to "Configure People Profile"
    • Under Talent Profile --> Internal Job History, check which rule is selected.
  2. Inside the Configure Business Rules, check the rule conditions and make the necessary corrections.
    • For example, if you modify the condition to be more generic, such as setting "Job Information" is not equal to "null", it will resolve the issue.
