3509758 - The Cloud Connector has not been configured for principal propagation. Please configure it or discontinue sending the SSO token in the request.

Symptom

An application or service deployed on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is connected to a backend system through the SAP Cloud Connector (SCC).
The connection attempt fails, and instead of establishing the communication channel, a logon prompt is displayed.
In addition, the following error is recorded in the SCC trace files:
