3509823 - Failed to Purge MDF Attachments

Encounter below issues after Administrator directly deleted the records of MDF object without first removing the associated attachments of the MDF object. 

• The attachments can still be found in Manage Documents after performing the "purge MDF attachment" operation.
• Administrator failed to purge MDF attachments with "Completed with an empty report". 

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Go to Data Retention Management
2. Create new Purge Request -> A purge request type: "Purge MDF Attachments"
3. Select Purge objects: MDF Custom Objects
4. Add approver and launch immediately
5. Go to Purge Request Monitor -> Under Approved Requests there is an empty preview report.
6. Go to Manage Documents -> Filter the files by Document Category -> the files still exist in system

There is no relation available to the corresponding MDF object. So the MDF Attachment Purge tool cannot be used as it needs the relation to MDF data.

To delete the impacted MDF attachments, please open a ticket with the component LOD-SF-MDF-PUR to Support Team for help.

• Please mention in the ticket that the related records of the MDF object have been deleted.
• MDF Object name
• Document Category
• How were the documents uploaded?
• [Very important]Provide one or two samples files in Manage documents which should be deleted (so which can be found by name). This would help to see on data level more background.
