3509902 - 401 unauthorized Error in Analysis for Office when connecting to HANA OLAP using SAML SSO

Symptom

  • Connecting to a HANA OLAP data source using SSO in Analysis for Office returns the below error:
    Analysis Office currently is not able to establish a connection.
    [ProtocolError] The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
  • Getting the following error “Connection Failed: Unable to find servers in CMS xxxx:6400 and cluster @xxxx:6400 with kind pjs and service SecurityTokenService. All such servers could be down or disabled by the administrator. (FWM 01014)” when testing the HANA connection from Central Management Console .
