3510222 - My Team's Task Filter in Task View

Symptom

You noticed that when using the "My Team's Task" filter, tasks from employees who do not directly report to you are also being displayed.

Environment

  • SAP Sales Cloud Version 2
  • SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the navigation menu.
  2. Select Activity Manager view.
  3. In the Activity Manager view, select Tasks.
  4. Filter by "My Team's Task".

Cause

The system uses a broader logic to determine which tasks appear under the "My Team's Task" filter. It includes employees assigned to your organizational unit (OrgUnit) in various roles:

  • Primary and secondary employee assignment
  • Primary and secondary manager assignment

Additionally, subordinate OrgUnits - both reporting and non-reporting lines - are included. This is why tasks from employees who are not your direct reports may still show up in the filtered results.

Resolution

Here’s how the "My Team's Task" filter works:

  1. The system identifies relevant OrgUnits based on your employee and manager assignments (considering both primary and secondary roles).
  2. It adds subordinate OrgUnits (reporting and non-reporting lines).
  3. Employees from these OrgUnits are included in the result (considering both primary and secondary roles).

This means that the filter doesn’t limit tasks to direct manager assignments but includes all employees in or below your OrgUnit.
