3510252 - Permission Roles for Compensation cannot be edited or deleted

Symptom

Permission Roles tagged as "Compensation" cannot have their permissions or assignments edited/deleted

Reproducing the Issue

Go to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles
Roles listed with a "Compensation" tag doesn't have any option besides "View History"

Cause

Once Field-Based Permissions (FBP) are enabled for any Compensation/Variable Pay template, the system automatically creates these "Compensation" tagged roles which cannot be edited or deleted by standard.

Why is that? Because once FBP is enabled, those Compensation templates start respecting this configuration to grant not permissions related to Compensation fields, not standard Role-Based Permissions (RBP). This way, these roles are applied to all users that are assigned to the respective groups (e.g. for the "Second Manager - Compensation" role, all users that are SECOND_MANAGER at the UDF file, will be automatically assigned to it)

Resolution

The only way to remove those roles is by disabling FBP. If they are being used, it will be available in Manage Permission Roles, unable to edit or delete. If that fits your needs, the FBP for this roles can be disabled at Compensation Home by two ways: (1) unmarking the checkboxes for those specific roles, (2) or the whole FBP enablement, which will make the roles disappear. To do so, please follow the steps below:

Go to Compensation Home > Select the template
Plan Setup > Settings > Field-Based Permissions
Unmark the (2) 'Enable field based permissions' or (1) click at the dropdown and unmark specific roles

Please, be sure that if one template is still with FBP checked for the role, it will still be active at Manage Permission Roles.
