When creating a handling unit with a specific number, the system is generating an error message stating: "Identification ******************* does not match the specifications in Customizing."

1. Open APP HU02 or access the API for Warehouse Shipping Advice.
2. Begin the process to create a new handling unit.
3. Specify an HU number such as *******************.
4. The following error message appears: "Identification ******************* does not match the specifications in Customizing."

Identification ******************* does not match the specifications in Customizing.

The SSCC determination rules are not clear, resulting in an incorrect identification being provided.

Review the SSCC determination rules as outlined below:

SSCC Format:

• Niiiiiiiinnnnnnnnc or iiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnc
  • N: Either the first number of ILN (starts with ILN = 'X') or the first number in the internal number range.
  • i: ILN base - only 8 digits are supported.
  • n: Serial number from the number range.
  • c: Check digit.
      

For example, an HU number should look like this: 701234567000001234

• • ILN: 01234567 (starts with ILN = ' ')
  • Number: 7000001234
      

To resolve the issue, verify and correct the HU identification specified in the process according to these rules.

• 103440: Assign Number Range Intervals to Packaging Material Type/Plant/Storage Location.
• 103441: Maintain SSCC Generation for each Plant/Storage Location.
• 102867: Define Number Range Intervals for SSCC.
