3511146 - Error: Kit Product not valid for Manual Purchase Requests

When creating a purchase request and adding a kit item head, error message "Kit Product not valid for Manual Purchase Requests" is triggered.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Open New Purchase Request (Manual) common task.
3. In the New Purchase Request screen, navigate to Items tab.
4. Add a product which is kit head item.
5. See that error "Kit Product not valid for Manual Purchase Requests" is triggered.

Kit items are not supported in manual purchase request creation scenario.

It is allowed to create purchase orders purchasing kit items.

System also allows third-party kit item procurement.
