3511398 - Error message M3565 - "With this material type, ext. material no. must not contain only numbers" prevent creating product - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When using pure numeric external number to create product in APP Create Material/MM01, error message M3565 - "With this material type, ext. material no. must not contain only numbers" occurs.

In the case of external number assignment, this indicator tells the system not to check the material number entered on the screen against the number range. In this case, the material number assigned must contain at least one letter, and not consist only of figures.

If it is required to create material without external number assignment validation check, an external number range can be defined for the material type which is alphanumeric(must contain at least one letter ).
