3512129 - Error when trying to create new entries for Texts in SD documents

Symptom

When using some of the following configuration activities:

  • Set Up Text Determination for Sales Document Header (ID: 101290)
  • Set Up Text Determination for Sales Document Item (ID: 103383)
  • Set Up Text Determination for Delivery Header (ID: 101291)
  • Set Up Text Determination for Delivery Item (ID: 106230)
  • Set Up Text Determination for Billing Header (ID: 101292)
  • Set Up Text Determination for Billing Item (ID: 103500)

It's not possible to add a new entry, because when saving, the following error message shows:  "Entry VBBK XX does not exist in TTXID"

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enter in any of the configuration activities mentioned on the symptom, i.e. 'Set Up Text Determination for Delivery Header';
  2. Select a Text Determination Procedure and choose 'Texts IDs in Procedure';
  3. Click on 'New Entries';
  4. Fill the necessary fields and press enter;
  5. The error message is displayed.

Cause

The Text ID you are trying to use is not created yet.

Resolution

Before using custom text types, you must create the custom text types beforehand using the following configuration activities:

  • Define Text Types for SD Document Header (ID: 105684) - to create custom texts for header level
  • Define Text Types for SD Document Item (ID: 105685) - to create custom texts for item level
