3512176 - Domain Certificate Renewal *businessbydesign.cloud.sap and *sapbydesign.com

Symptom

The existing server certificate for domain *businessbydesign.cloud.sap and *sapbydesign.com will be renewed as it is going to expire on DD/MM/YYY.

Environment

Cause

The server certificates necessitate renewal due to their expiration.

Resolution

Below are the steps to download the new certificate:

  1. Click on download link. The link will redirect to the Digicert Website.
  2. Under File Type on the right side, select "Individual .crts (zipped)" in the dropdown.
  3. Click on the download button under File Type section.
  4. A zip file by name "star_businessbydesign_cloud_sap_278466338" will be downloaded.
  5. Unzip the file.
  6. The required certificate will be star_businessbydesign_cloud_sap.crt.

If third party integrations, for example web services/APIs are present in the SAP Business ByDesign tenant, the domain certificate may need to be updated. Please check with the internal IT teams which are responsible for the API implementations to determine if the update is necessary. SAP is not responsible for this configuration. 

Note: The DigiCert site to download the certificate is updated yearly. In case the downloaded certificate is already expired, it is possible to search for the most up-to-date blog on certificate renewal in the SAP Community titled "Domain Certificate Renewal (*businessbydesign.cloud.sap) & (*sapbydesign.com)", as it will have the latest page for the certificate download.
