3512263 - Visibility of the 'Customer' Field in the Post General Journal Entries App - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When posting a journal using the Post General Journal Entries app, the visibility of the field Customer vary by country.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

1. Open the Post General Journal Entries app
2. Choose company code 1110, post to GL account 24090000. The 'Customer' field is visible in the selection.

3. Choose company code 1710 and choose the same GL 24090000. The 'Customer' field is not visible.

Resolution

Here are the two conditions that makes the field "Customer" visible:

  1. The country is of European Union Member.
  2. EC (European Commission) Tax Data field must be Optional / Mandatory
    Check the field status group of the G/L Account in app Manage G/L Account Master Data app or SSCUI 150001


    Then check the field status in SSCUI - 102393  Define Field Status Variants
