3512440 - Random number or decimal appears on axis of chart in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

The following behavior occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

  • When setting Bar Width for a chart, a random number could appear at the end of the axis after the data labels.
  • The number can disappear when dragging out the chart size or switching orientation to horizontal and then again to vertical.
  • This affects the following chart types: Combined Column and Line Charts, Stacked Bar/ Column Charts, Combined Stacked Column and Line Charts.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud Version 2024.16.2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to SAC.
  2. Open the affected story.
  3. Notice that on the axis end there is a number that seemingly does not belong.
  4. Resize the chart or switch chart orientation to Horizontal then back to Vertical, and notice that the number is gone.

Cause

This issue was investigated by development team who determined it as a bug.

Resolution

The issue is fixed with release version 2024.19 and QRC4.
