Symptom
Error message "A measure does not exist anymore. It must have been changed or deleted" is coming up in SAC Excel Add-In when refreshing a workbook after deleting a measure in Datasphere (DS), as per screen shot below:
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental".
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office
Reproducing the Issue
- Open SAC Excel Add-In and log into the required tenant
- Click on Add Table -> SAP Datasphere -> Select the required connection
- Open the affected model
- Perform the required changes in Rows and/or Columns
- Go to DS and delete any other measure which is not being used
- Redeploy the Analytic Model in DS
- Go back to SAC Excel Add-In -> Refresh All -> Error will happen
Cause
Expected behavior.
Resolution
This is the expected behavior for the Excel Add-in and the tool is working as designed. It is expected that a deletion of a measure of the Analytic model will not be synced with a table that has been added to an SAC Excel Add-In workbook. The table will have to be removed and added again to the workbook to work with the updated Analytic Model.
