Symptom
Charts are not loaded in the exported document and throw error: 'No data available for the chart to render' in SAC
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud
Reproducing the Issue
- Login to SAC
- Open Story
- Click on 'File'
- Click on 'Export'
- 'Export Story As' window appears
- File Type: PDF
- Click on 'Export'
Notice that the charts are not loading the data in the exported document. An error message saying 'No data available for the chart to render' is displayed.
Cause
Manually exporting while the page is still displaying loading, the exported file will also display loading because exported file being identical to the displayed page at that moment.
Resolution
End users are advised to wait until the loading is complete before clicking export. To export large amounts of data more efficiently, use the "Enable Export In The Background" option instead of the interactive workflow.
