3513292 - Delete Dummy Profit Center in SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

Dummy profit center "DUMMY" (table TKA01-DPRCT=DUMMY) is set for the controlling area.

When attempting to:

  • shorten the validity period or set the lock indicator for the dummy profit center
  • remove the dummy profit center from the controlling area in S4HANA system, the system raises the following error:

Postings have already been made to profit ctr DUMMY; it cannot be deleted.
