3513544 - How to use Browser Developer Tools to get X-Unique-Id

The requirement is to collect X-Unique-Id for Product Support. The purpose of this ID is internal troubleshooting.

This document covers the following browsers:

• Google Chrome;
• Microsoft Edge;
• Mozilla Firefox;
• Safari.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

• Google Chrome

1) Right click;

2) Click on "Network" > make the required changes > delete all the logs already present; 

3) Click "Save";

4) Click on the log with ".dwr" extension > under "Headers" section, scroll down and find the "X-Unique-Id".

• Mozilla Firefox

1) Right click;

2) Click on "Network";

3) Make the required changes > delete all the logs already present; 

4) Click "Save";

5) Click on the log with ".dwr" extension > under "Headers" section, scroll down and find the "X-Unique-Id".

• Microsoft Edge

1) Right click;

2) Click on "Network" > make the required changes > delete all the logs already present; 

3) Click on "Save";

4) Click on the log with ".dwr" extension > under "Headers" section, scroll down and find the "X-Unique-Id".

• Safari

Enabling Developer Tools

1) Click on "Safari" > "Settings";

2) Click on "Advanced";

3) Check the box "Show features for web developers" > Close the pop-up.

Collecting X-Unique-Id

1) Right click;

2) Click on "Network" > make the required changes > delete all the logs already present; 

3) Click on "Save";

4) Click on the log with ".dwr" extension > under "Headers" section, scroll down and find the "X-Unique-Id".
