Symptom
The "User custom field" values are not translating to German when setting the German dictionary as Default.
This issue happens with other languages as well, other than the default Dictionary in which the values were created in the first place.
Environment
SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ
Reproducing the Issue
- Login in CPQ with the English dictionary selected as the default
- Go to Setup -> Users -> Users -> Edit user
- Go to “Custom Fields” tab
- Select the user custom field and set a value for it
- Exit Setup
- Go to User Page and change “Default Dictionary” from “US English” to “Deutsch / German” -> Save
- Go to Setup again
- Select ‘Benutzer” -> “Benutzer”
- Go back to your user and go to the custom field tab.
Result: The User custom field values do not translate to German, and are still displayed in English.
Cause
Bug in application.
There is also a problem with User custom field 'label' not being translated (standard field labels are translated as they are dictionary keys which are automatically translated).
Resolution
This issue is set to be fixed tentatively in the SAP CPQ-2502 fix version.
