Symptom

  • SWPM failed with error below:
    Assertion failed: Unable to set up ASE server for host <hostname> (sybatch reported return code -1). Refer to trace file sapinst_dev.log for further information.
  • In sapinst_dev.log you will see error:
    Error: for SAP Server '<SID>'. Operating system returned error: '
                         Error 1069:Specified service could not be logged on'
