3514234 - Activity type cost is zero in material cost estimate

After creating material cost estimate, the activity type (internal activity) cost is zero.

There could be multiple reasons for the issue. Please check Resolution part for details.

1. The activity types maintain in routing for different items can't be the same. For example, you can't maintain the same activity type for Setup/Machine/Labor. If you do so, no costs can be calculated.
2. Check app Display Routing. Double-click into the operation and check the Standard Values part. Please make sure that you fill in the Activity Type fields. And with routing setting, the Costing Relevancy need to be set as X (100% relevant to Costing).
3. Please check the account relevant with the activity type. You can verify the assignment of cost component in SSCUI 102427. Double-click the cost component to see the setting for "Filter criteria for cost component views on itemization". If it's set as "Sales and Administration Costs", it's not relevant to inventory valuation, so the value will not be shown neither in planned costs nor in actual costs.
4. The formula and parameter setting "SSCUI 102242 Define parameters" and "SSCUI 102002 Define formulas for work centers" need to be checked carefully. Especially if the Operation Quantity is needed, the default values should be for Setup(SAP_01), Machine(SAP_02) and Labor(SAP_03). If customized parameter is created, it's necessary to confirm the corresponding parameter is correctly set in the formula.
5. The Unit of Measure of the activity needs to be time UoM (min/Hour) if you choose formula with time calculation. If you choose other UoM dimension, the system can't generate the correct quantity for the activity, so no cost can be calculated.
