3514545 - Mandatory Field Is Not Marked With Red Star or Asterisk With Rule

A Mandatory rule was created on Opportunities TI object "for example" to field "ABC" based on the values showing on "Sales Phase" field.
However, after adding the rule to the "ABC" field, the red star/asterisk is not appearing, even with the rule working.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Sales then Opportunities work center.
2. Start the adaptation mode.
3. Create the Mandatory rule to "ABC" field based on Sales Phase field values.
4. On the rule, the values "2V" and "3V" for example, will make the "ABC" field mandatory.
5. Leave the Adaptation Mode.
6. Open the document with Sales Phase = "3V".
7. The field "ABC" does not have the mandatory red star.
8. Try to save the document with the "ABC" field in blank on the same document.
9. The Mandatory warning message shows up.

The red star is not showing because it's a rule based Mandatory, which means it's not mandatory for all the values, hence it can't show that asterisk mark.

This is the system behavior.

As it is a behavior of the system, I would suggest you to raise an idea in the SAP Sales Cloud Portal https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/1868 requesting this functionality. The Customer Influence portal is the correct channel for requirements of changes in the system behavior. There other customers can also vote for the idea and depending on the demand from the customer community, the developers will evaluate and plan accordingly for a possible implementation of this new feature.
