3514634 - Case count differs between Process Intelligence and Process Insights

Symptom

After extracting data from Process Insights into Process Intelligence using the SAP Signavio Process Insights connector, comparing the case count in each for the same process flow may show a difference.


Resolution

Matching data from the Process Intelligence Value Accelerators with Single Process Flows (Standard content) in Process Insights is unlikely to work seamlessly, and we do not recommend comparing the values 1:1. This difference in count is not considered a discrepancy.

Factors leading to the observed differences are:

  • Process Intelligence uses the Completion Filter in the Extensions, which is not available in Process Insights.
  • The Value Accelerators in Process Intelligence use different delta dates compared to Process Insights. While Process Insights relies on DCTIMESTAMP, Process Intelligence uses flow-specific dates in the Extensions.
