3515011 - Using upper case characters in SAP Datasphere email ID

Symptom

  • When creating a new user in SAP Datasphere as per Create a User | SAP Help Portal, there is a requirement to use a mixture of upper case and lower case email ID's in SAP Datasphere to match with an existing custom Identity Provider (IdP).
  • In SAP Datasphere, there is no option to create users with upper case characters.
  • SAP Datasphere only supports lower case.

Resolution

  1. This situation can be handled by using "Custom SAML User Mapping" and enter email address exactly how it exists within your corporate IdP.
  2. Refer to the help page Enabling a Custom SAML Identity Provider
  3. Please bring this to the Admin of your Corporate IdP, this situation is their responsibility to handle the configurations.
