3515463 - Timeout while syncing SF users to SAP Analytics Cloud in IPS

Symptom

After the "Stories in People Analytics" upgrade is complete, the SF users need to be synced to SAC via IPS sync. 

The following error is displayed in the IPS logs for the "SAP Analytics Cloud" system:

error=Operation failed after 2 retries. Caused by: Timeout exception has occurred while processing entity

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Execute the Resync or Read job in IPS to sync users from SuccessFactors to SAP Analytics Cloud
  2. The following error is displayed in the log "error=Operation failed after 2 retries. Caused by: Timeout exception has occurred while processing entity"

Resolution

  1. Raise a ticket to BC-IAM-IPS
  2. IPS will verify if there is any issues in IPS side or
  3. If the SAC is responding slow, they will transfer the ticket to SAC team (LOD-ANA-OEM)
  4. Otherwise the ticket will be transferred to SF for further investigation (LOD-SF-ANA-SAC)
