Symptom
The issue arises when using the setDimensionFilterWithHierarchy function, which requires a hierarchy parameter.
For dimensions without a hierarchy, setting the parameter to "" doesn't update the filter. The user intends to apply a dimension property as a filter, but since properties can't have a hierarchy, this approach fails.
Environment
SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD
Cause
Wrong configuration
Resolution
For the setDimensionFilterWithHierarchy API, the hierarchy parameter is mandatory. If there's no hierarchy in the dimensions, use Alias.FlatHierarchy for the parameter.
