3516420 - Text views for Custom Fields of type Code List - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• You have created a Custom Field of type Code List based on Custom CDS View and you want to select the Code and Description. 
• You want to fetch the Description for the Code of Custom Felds but the system gives the error "Usage is not permitted".

You can use these CDS Views as data sources for a Custom CDS View and filter for the Custom Field that you want to see the Descriptions. Include the filter "Recommended Data Source" in the Custom CDS Views app and set to "No" to ensure that the views appear as available for selection.
