3516472 - RBP User Role Change Report Displays Numeric Values in 'New Value' Column

Symptom

When exporting the RBP User Role Change Report, the 'New Value' column displays numeric values rather than the expected user role names.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SuccessFactors
  2. Search for Change Audit Report
  3. Select Create Configuration Data Report
  4. Select Role Based Permission
  5. Report Type: RBP User Role Change Report
  6. Fill out the time range
  7. Export the report in Access Report
  8. View the exported file and check the New Value Column
  9. Numeric Values are displayed instead of role names

Cause

Our engineering team mentioned that the wrong values or numeric values seen in the New Value Column are actually RBP rule IDs. These appear when a role name cannot be found in either the database or Hive. Specifically, these rules have been deleted, which is why they don't appear in the database. If the roles are also not found in Hive, it indicates that no changes have been made to those roles. Basically, the fact that these roles are missing in Hive indicates that they have not been updated or changed.

Resolution

This is a known issue, and our engineering team has developed a code fix that will be implemented across all instances and is scheduled for release in 2505 or May 16, 2025.
