3516856 - Talent Pool Not Populating from Saved Search with a custom date range - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When a saved search includes a custom date range criteria, then the talent pool associated to the saved search does not auto-populate with the candidates via the "Auto populate talent pool" job.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Saved Search based on candidate applying in a custom date range e.g. from 1st May 2024 to 1st July 2024:

  2. Associate this saved search to a Talent Pool
  3. Auto populate Talent Pool job runs but the talent pool is not populated. The Talent Pool is actually not even listed in the job details from Provisioning.

Cause

As per the backend logs, we see the following error: Exception while formatting date java.text.ParseException: Unparseable date

Resolution

This is a know product limitation and engineering are aware of this.

You can refer the following internal engineering reference number to your CSM to follow up also: RCM-143037.

As a workaround, you can use one of the other set date options for the saved search e.g. "in the past week" or "in the past 3 months" etc.
