3517239 - Setting Up the Data Protection Officer

To use the data protection and privacy features in SAP Event Ticketing, you require the right of the data security officer.

SAP Event Ticketing enables the organizer to define a data security officer at client/company level.

In SAP ET, this data protection officer has the option of performing the configurations required for the respective organizer for the storage, transfer, and use of customer data, in accordance with applicable law.

SAP Event Ticketing supports organizers in complying with the applicable data protection regulations, but this does not include legal advice.

Prerequisites

Data Protection and Privacy has been enabled for the system.

Functionality Description

You assign the right of the data protection officer to a user. The right can be assigned directly in the user or via a rights group.

The rights granted in this way can be used in connection with the Chameleon law.

The data protection officer can use the chameleon right to make settings in a company, even if the company does not have its own data protection officer.

The right of the data protection officer includes the right to the following further actions and administrations:

• The data protection officer can assign privacy-related rights to users.
  1. Read/Export Change Histories
  2. Creating an Overview of Individual Data
  3. Identification of a customer for deletion/anonymization
• The data security officer has the right to administer the company's data protection settings.
• The data security officer can block and reactivate customers.
• The data protection officer can delete/anonymize customer data.
