3517381 - My Inbox: Display Only Purchase Order Approval Notifications

Symptom

  • The My Inbox application is displaying all types of approval notifications.
  • The requirement is for the application to only display Purchase Order (PO) approval notifications.

Environment

SAP S/4Hana Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the My Inbox application.
  2. Observe that the application displays all types of approval notifications, not just PO approval notifications.

Cause

The issue arises from the standard system behavior of the My Inbox application, which is designed to display all types of approval notifications.

Resolution

  1. Create a custom tile for the My Inbox application using the 'Custom Tiles' APP.
  2. In the custom APP, define the 'My Inbox' URL and include the 'taskDefinitions' parameter with an entry of TS00800531_WS00800238_0000000019 (the task types specific to purchase orders only). Please note the parameter 'taskDefinitions' is case sensitive and must be entered as taskDefinitions
  3. Assign the APP to a business catalog and the business catalog to a role assigned to the approver.
  4. Test the new custom tile to ensure it displays only PO approval notifications.
