Symptom

After creating characteristic with data type NUMC (Numerical Text), Conversion Routine ALPHA is not available. 

If ALPHA is set in the conversion routine, there will be following message. 

  • Characteristic * : Conversion routine ALPHA was deleted

    Message no. R7B217

    Diagnosis
    The characteristic * is of data type NUMC. It makes little sense to use the conversion routine ALPHA for this characteristic.

    System Response
    The conversion routine ALPHA was removed from the characteristic *.
