3517857 - BizX external ID does not match with the Learning external ID

• Why does the BizX external ID show different value when compared to Learning?
• User ID and external ID have a unique value in BizX, but Learning displays the user ID and the external ID with the same value.
• Learning displays the user ID value as the external ID value and not the external ID value which is configured in BizX.
• User ID is the same as the external ID in Learning.

1. Learning Administration >
2. People > Users > Access the desired account >
3. Observe the "External ID" of the User.

BizX:

1. BizX >
2. Search for the desired account >
3. Observe the "External ID" of the user > It displays a different value when compared to Learning.

• There is no PERSON_ID_EXTERNAL field configured in the User Connector - SF input file.
  
  
• Check the User Connector – SF configuration mapping by following the below steps:

1. 1. Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration >
   2. System Configuration > CONNECTORS >
   3. Check if “sfuser.field.mapping.data.PERSON_GUID” is set as “sfuser.field.mapping.data.PERSON_GUID=PERSON_GUID”.

• Now, click System Administration > Connectors > Access “User Connector - SF” > Download the input file via the “Show archived input files” option > Observe that there is no “PERSON_ID_EXTERNAL” field found.
  
  
• This means that no value has been passed to the external field.

• The external ID can only be added in Learning via connectors. Regarding the usage of the connectors, it is recommended to engage the SAP team that delivers services or an SAP Certified Partner to review and perform adjustments in the connector configuration (KBA 2149831). 
  
  
• If the “PERSON_ID_EXTERNAL” field is not mapped for the User Connector - SF, the system will consider the user ID and will use that value to the external ID field.
  
  
• With that, it is possible to see the same value for the user ID and external ID in Learning, even though these fields have unique values in BizX.
