3518351 - Error 'No postings can be made to profit center XXX in company code YYY' in app 'Project Control - Enterprise Projects'

Error message 'No postings can be made to profit center XXX in company code YYY' (KM183) is displayed while trying to create or copy a project in app 'Project Control - Enterprise Projects'.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open app 'Project Control - Enterprise Projects';
2. Either create a new project or search for a project, select it and click on 'Copy';
3. Fill the mandatory fields and click on 'Create';
4. Notice that the error message 'No postings can be made to profit center XXX in company code YYY' (KM183) will be displayed, preventing the user from creating/copying the project.

The Profit Center mentioned in the error message is not assigned to the Company Code of the project.

It is necessary to check if the Profit Center mentioned in the message is assigned to the Company Code of the project. This can be done by navigating to app 'Manage Profit Centers' and checking the Company Codes table.

All Company Codes that have the Assigned column set as 'No' are not assigned to the Profit Center in question.
