3519054 - Two ASE servers boot up on the same Windows machine with same port - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • OS is Windows platform
  • Create two ASE servers in the same machine, in sql.ini file the two servers are using same IP and same port
        File: $SYBASE\ini\sql.ini
  • Both two servers can start at the same time
  • When isql to connect to the second server being started, it actually is connected to the first server, can verify by command:
    select server_name()
    go
