3519576 - Modify Internal Status in Opportunity

You would like to modify the Internal Status of the Opportunity.

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

1. Go to Guided Selling wc.
2. Change to table view.
3. Observe that the Status cannot be edit in the List. 
4. Also, it is not possible to change the status within the Opportunity detailed view. 

The Internal Status (Open, In Process, Won, Lost, Stopped) cannot be modified.

The Status field displayed in the list refers to the Internal Status (Open, In Process, Won, Lost, Stopped). This is a system-controlled field and cannot be edited manually.

If it is necessary to update the status directly from the Object Work List (OWL), you can instead make the Custom Status field visible in the list. Unlike the Internal Status, the Custom Status field is editable.

When you update the Custom Status, the corresponding Internal Status is automatically updated based on the status mapping configured in your system.

You can review or maintain this mapping by navigating to: System Settings > Opportunities > Status

Here, you can define the relationship between each Custom Status and its corresponding Internal Status. Once this mapping is in place, updating the Custom Status will automatically set the appropriate Internal Status.

This is expected system behaviour.
