3519983 - Value of dimension does not change even after changing it in filter prompt in story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

When changing a dimension value in story filter, the filter prompt screen opens multiple times in SAC story and the value doesn't change in the prompt.

Environment

SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD 2024.15.6

Connection: import

Datasource: BW

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC 
  2. Open the story
  3. Let the page and table load completely. Now click on the filter(funnel icon) on the top left corner.
  4. Click on filter value ABC but notice that it takes significant time to open. Hence user clicks on the ABC filter value multiple times.
  5. Filter prompt opens.
  6. Clear the selection in the filter prompt and select any other value and click OK.
  7. Notice that the table behind the filter prompt is filtered with new values, however you'll still notice the filter prompt open with the originally/previously selected value and not the new values.

Resolution

The fix was deployed in version 2024.15.16
